Dispensaries

Sherburn Dispensary

The dispensary is open Monday to Friday between 8:30am to 12 noon and 12:30pm to 6pm.

Rillington Dispensary

All dispensing is now done centrally at Sherburn Practice, prescriptions are delivered to Rillington branch for patients to collect. Patients will be advised of what day to pick up medication when they order. 

Controlled drugs can no longer be collected from our Rillington branch. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, we can arrange for controlled drugs to be collected from Sherburn. Please discuss any concerns with dispensary team.

When We Are Closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

A trained advisor will direct you to the most appropriate health service or treatment for your needs close to where you are.  If they feel you need urgent health care, they can make you an appointment at one of the urgent care centres in Scarborough or Malton.

Urgent Care Centres

The urgent care centre in Scarborough is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  To ensure you are seen as quickly as possible, please book an appointment by calling 111.

The urgent care centre in Malton is open from 9am to 8pm, 365 days a year for patients attending without a pre-booked appointment via 111.  Outside these times, you can still call 111 to arrange for someone at the Centre to see you during the night.

Emergency Department

In a genuine medical emergency you should call 999, for example if you are having difficulty breathing, suffering from chest pains or have had a serious accident.  The nearest emergency departments are located at Scarborough hospital and York hospital.

GP Extended Hours

The practice offers extended hours on a Thursday evening between 6:30pm and 8pm from Sherburn and on a Saturday in rotation with the other member practices of our Primary Care Network (Ayton and Snainton Practice, Derwent Practice and Ampleforth Practice).

Subject to availability, appointments until 8pm are also available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Saturdays between 9am to 5pm at the other PCN member practices. To make an appointment please contact the GP reception team at Sherburn.
